From planting seed to picking the first produce, Biobizz® are leaders in their field when it comes to eco-friendly crop cultivation. Potting soil, liquid fertilizers, substrate enhancers – we produce a huge range of 100% biological products for all kinds of plants. In fact, ever since we began in 1992, Biobizz has helped people grow successfully and organically, with no earth-hating chemicals in sight.
Our philosophy is pure and simple: to be ecologically aware and make the organic cultivation of crops accessible for everyone, without leaving behind any negative impact on the environment.
Before our top quality organic fertilizers are sold, you can be sure the highest level of research and development has gone into them. It’s why we can claim that every Biobizz® product consistently contains the correct amount of organic ingredients. And why we guarantee satisfaction and peace of mind. Because with us taking care of your crops, you know that you’re helping protect the earth from harm.
Although Biobizz Worldwide was founded in the Netherlands, today our main facilities are in Spain. We also have sites in France, England and North America. Being able to deliver to partners all over world means everyone has the opportunity to grow well with Biobizz.
What does natural mean?
Natural generally means everything related to or derived from living organisms. In our industry, organic simply means – naturally grown. So that’s: grown without any chemical or mineral-based additives or fertilizers. If you’re looking at it from a chemistry point of view, organic is to do with how carbon-based molecules work and react in all kinds of compounds and materials. When it comes to food, to be officially labelled organic in line with legislation and certification, it must be produced without using hormones, antibiotics (unless for medicinal purposes), synthetic fertilizers or pesticides. Organic cultivation also prohibits the use of genetically modified organisms (GMO) and processes such as irradiation.
How do organics work in farming?
Put simply, natural farming is allowing nature to do what nature does best. That means farming based on holistic, ecologically-balanced agricultural principles involving soil fertility, crop rotation and natural pest control.
If a farmer grows natural products, then they won’t use synthetic pesticides or fertilizers on crops and they avoid using synthetic hormones, antibiotics or other medications on their livestock. Organic farmers use only organic feeds for their animals and give them access to the outdoors.
Why decide to grow natural?
It’s a clear choice. Factory-made chemical fertilizers take away nature and life from the soil rather than adding to it. After making the soil useless in the name of a quick fix, these industrial chemicals get washed into the earth’s water tables where they kill and mutate wildlife, algae and coral reefs. Residuals from these chemicals and pesticides can also end up in the products we consume.
Eating natural fruits, vegetables or herbs grown completely free from chemicals or pesticides can boost animals’ immune systems and even help them recover from disease.
We believe that agriculture should get out of the lab and get back to its roots for the benefit of the Earth and all of us who share it.
Biobizz Society - We’re growing all over the world
Biobizz wants to spread the word and get everyone thinking green.
So to create this awareness we participate in several projects. You can find more about these right here on this page. Perhaps you have the seed of a good idea or community gardening project you started and would love to share. Tell us all about it at firstname.lastname@example.org
Biobizz Food Community - Vegetable garden
If part of our mission is to make self-regulated gardening something everyone can enjoy, you can be sure we’re going to practice what we preach and do it ourselves – naturally! Here’s a glimpse into the Biobizz Food Community and what we’ve been up to…
The joy of gardening
Biobizz has converted a piece of land into a large vegetable garden for various plants and crops – chosen for their natural ability to grow well in the Netherlands, such as cauliflower, tomatoes, strawberries and various types of lettuce and herbs. After digging in a nutritious base of Biobizz’ All•Mix®, we added only natural fertilizers to ensure we cultivate the crops – all without damaging the environment for a delicious organic harvest. Following on from this garden there are plenty of other smaller local initiatives that we’ll be supporting. As well as a huge complex consisting of three 80m2 greenhouses offering more than 240m2 of internal space for natural cultivation and field testingwhere vegetables and fruit will be cultivated for at least 25 families, there will be other projects starting in the new school year. The hope is that children will get the opportunity to learn more about where vegetables and fruit really come from. And, by creating real vegetable gardens in the school grounds, children can grow various crops themselves and eat them! Visit here again for more information on these projects and others that are in the pipeline…
Biobizz® Food Community - Greenhouse
With our first experiment in the Biobizz vegetable garden already proving to be such a resounding success, we’re turning our attention to huge complex consisting of three greenhouses offering more than 240 m2 of internal spaceour new 80m2 Greenhouse. It’s These are now built and ready to grow herbs, vegetables and fruit for local initiatives. Using the correct greenhouse structure we’ve created the best growing conditions to ensure a great yield and quality harvest throughout the whole year. It’s going to be fully managed by experienced and technically qualified gardeners, who will start with planting winter vegetables such as cauliflower, onions, lettuce, beets, winter carrots, kale, turnip, etc. – all grown 100% natural of course. And by using only Biobizz products, everyone can look forward to great tasting veggies, free from any chemicals.
Biobizz is now on the menu
The Biobizz Greenhouse is extra special because its vegetables will be distributed to regional restaurants. These will now be able to expand their organic range on their menus – so even more people can enjoy ‘the taste of Biobizz’.
The cooperation between Biobizz and local restaurants fits in well with the ‘slow movement’ that’s so popular right now. This promotes the ‘slow food’ principle, where companies work with local partners in using locally grown and traditional products. This way, the provenance, quality and taste of the products can be guaranteed by everyone involved.
